According to the Memphis Flyer, new UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson won’t be fighting in Canada anytime soon.
In an article in the Edmonton Sun, Jackson admits to an assault conviction while in college but says the real reason why he’s not allowed in Canada is because of problems at the border. Jackson is claiming the problems stemmed from racism.
Here’s an excerpt from the article:
“Jackson says he ran into a ‘racist’ immigration official. ‘One guy, I can tell he was racist, I won’t lie to you, he was racist big time,’ says Jackson, 28.
“‘I was with two other white dudes and he let all of them go and then he just chose me.’
“Jackson said the official went above and beyond in researching his background.”
