Garth:

Dana has been pretty adamant that they won't be adding new divisions. The WEC will be the focus of the lighter weights for Zuffa.

But they have so many lightweights I was joking with my editor at CBS Sportsline that they should copy the WWE and come out with an Intercontinental Title or United States title for the 155 lbs. guys.

Drew McFedries vs. Jordan Radev .. Horrible work by the ref. Great performance by McFedries but can't understand why he feels it's a sport to pound on the head of an unconscious guy. I understand that the fighters are not supposed to stop until the ref stops them, but you are standing over a guy who is clearly unconscious, flat on his back and keep hitting him with these massive shots. The first one.. ok. The second... ok you keep going. The third one? Come on. Two unanswered shots. He's not moving. That sucked.

as for the UFC lightweights, do you think they're going to break out some more divisions under lights and between lights and welters? like maybe a jr. welter-type division, or will they send smaller fighters to the WEC? manny gamburyan would be an absolutely terrifying featherweight... nate diaz can probably already fight four weight classes, like nick thompson and his brother.
the sad part is that things are only being held together in UFC because it's privately held...imagine if one of the other promotions acutally shows some competence and isn't purchased by the UFC? we could end up with good old boxing. at least unlike boxing, they can still kick someone in the head.

i think spencer is definitely being humble, he had to know he dominated. I think maybe he was trying to tone it down after his in-fight showboating at the end of the third round. he's been known to goof around a little in the ring, and it seems he always feels he has to compensate for it afterwards. in my mind fischer is one of the best strikers in almost any discipline. i'd like to see him in a straight-up boxing match, honestly. i haven't seen such solid, crisp punching since anderson silva devastated chris leben.
fitch-carneiro: it seemed like, as joe rogan mentioned, carneiro simply gave up after fitch punished him with strikes. fitch didn't seem to sink the choke too deep, and carneiro tapped immediately...could be he was just trying to get to the locker room and not get punched any more. i can't blame him, he ate some fat punches. he could, of course, just tap to the strikes.

on ufcj they mentioned the card getting a lot of crap for being uninteresting...but i had a blast. i haven't been that wired for a card in a long time. so leg one is down, now the TUF on thursday and UFC on saturday. my girlfriend is going to hate my guts.
