ken will win this match because of his work ethics, conditioning, he has alot of reasons, for all the reasons he is fighting. a pay check yadayada, thats half the battle, know of a better way to live to be 100, get paid to train gods temple and see what kind of machine you’ve built byfrequently testing it out. you go out their and gitter dun ken. pheynix promotions & east county el cajon supports you bro’.

Yes, I was really impressed by the fake blood when Franklin was pummeling his face and the referee had to stop the fight. As I said, I am a Shamrock fan but let’s be objective. Franklin would beat Ken 10 out of 10 times. That wasn’t a worked match. Ken slipped twice and lost to a better fighter.

Ken worked the Franklin fight for a big payday from Zuffa – he’ll be working the Bisping fight for an ever larger chunk of change I’m sure. I’m hoping Bisping makes contact before Ken throws himself backwards this time though.

It’s time the UFC stopped booking lopsided fights (for example, Sanchez vs. Robinson at UFC 72). There’s enough talent around for them to have competitive bouts instead of these “rising talent vs. legend/gatekeeper” fights where there’s no suspense as to who’s going to win. Like you, I’m a Ken Shamrock fan but let’s face it, none of his fights in the last few years have lasted more than 5 minutes and most of them have ended up with him being beaten to a pulp.

If the UFC wants to build up Bisping as a star, they shouldn’t hurt his credibility by having him go against fighters way past their prime like Shamrock or journeymen like Sinosic. Think about Forrest Griffin. They threw him to the lions and booked him against Tito Ortiz almost immediately after he won the first TUF. Plus, it’s not as if the new UFC fans (who happen to be the majority of its audience anyway) will be fooled by any kind of marketing that portrays Shamrock as a legitimate threat. Unlike us who’ve been watching the UFC since almost the beginning, all they’ve seen of him are his losses to Ortiz and Franklin (or maybe even his KO loss to Sakuraba) and his disastrous coaching stint during TUF.

Ugh, why? I wasn’t that interested in seeing Bisping vs. Hamill, but Shamrock? C’mon, can’t we get someone at least half way legitimite still in the game? Obviously nothing is written in stone yet, but this seems like the wrong direction to me.

Shamrock certainly is a legend and a big name but that’s really all he is right now from what I have seen. I was actually interested in seeing him fight a superfight or two on an IFL card, guess that isn’t happening it seems. I know Bisping isn’t known for his ground and pound like Tito is but he did punish Sinosic when he was on the ground for most of that 1st round. And Bisping is certainly a more dynamic striker then Tito is, I don’t see this fight going very well for Ken.
