Yeah, I think it sucks that guys like Sylvia and Barnett cheat, win fights and go on to get a slap on the wrist and then get on with their careers. Unfair to fans and to the people they beat.

Bonnar at least had the balls to admit what he did, unlike most of them; “who me? I had a diet pepsi, that can raise your hormone levels, I’m contesting it!”

I have no problems with steroids, per se… what I have a problem with is people dumb enough to know it’s against the rules and they’ll be tested, and doing it anyway.

above and beyond any other steroids issues…theyr’e against the rules. period. the rules of the sport these people compete in say no steroids. if they said “no eating ostrich meat” and a fighter was caught with a huge-ass drumstick, HE BROKE THE RULES. I’m not condemning Baroni yet, because false-positives do happen (for two?), but i have a feeling that it’ll be something like “but I thought I stopped long enough ago not to get a positve!”

like you said sam, very disappointing. where ever someone stands on principal in this issue, if they don’t admit first and foremost that, under current rules, it’s cheating (as well as under general fair play, though sometimes it’s gonna be hard to get someone to believe that), and cheating is cheating.
