I wanted to thank everyone who e-mailed to let me know they heard me on The Scott Ferrall Show last night on Sirius. As I’ve said on the show, I’ve been a huge fan of Ferrall for years now. I’m a huge sports fan but am not much of a fan of sports talk radio these days (even though I host a show of my own) because it’s become stagnant, boring, and predictable. Ferrall’s show has always been out of the box and it was a honor getting to be a part of it for once instead of just being a listener. Seeing him in action was a trip. It was a relaxed atmosphere and I often forgot that we were actually on the air.
I made a couple of errors on the show. I said that Hermes Franca beat Kenny Florian in his last fight when I meant to say Spencer Fisher. I also said that UFC in November will be held in East Rutherford, NJ when Ferrall had broken the story a while back that the event will be held at the new arena in Newark, NJ. Ferrall got that news directly from Marc Ratner of the UFC so you can take it to the bank.
Special thanks to Ferrall and super producer Lou Pellegrino for allowing me to hangout in the studio. They put the Phillies game on for me and everything!
Ferrall will be doing a live four-hour pre-fight show for UFC 73 this Saturday starting at 3 p.m. ET. The lineup of guests is huge and UFC president Dana White is slated to kick things off at 3:15 p.m. ET. Make sure you check it out.
