Rarely do cards that get lots of hype on paper from fans live up to expectations. And obviously the opposite usually works out to be better then expected, like the last UFN. I really thought that Anderson Silva was the highlight of the night. On the ground he never got hurt or was in any real danger, and the switch to get him in Nate's guard was beautiful. Of course the finish was devastating and complete. It sets up the Franklin rematch which I am still struggling to see a different outcome from, other then it perhaps lasting longer. With the middleweight division perhaps being the weakest in the UFC, unless they bring Denis Kang in, or Henderson goes down eventually, I really don't see anyone beating Silva right now in the division. But I'd love to see the Kang and Henderson fights if they happen. The other fights were good, Sherk does what he needs to do to win. Nothing real flashy about him, but I am looking forward to the Penn fight if that indeed does happen. I personally was really into the Ortiz-Evans fight and look forward to it again, which seems like it will be on the undercard of the Franklin-Silva match according to reports from last night. Minotauro did what I thought he would do actually. I totally agreed with Sherdog's After the Bell show that I'd like to see him a little lighter in weight for his next fight. I was really expecting Alvin Robinson to win his fight but it looked like Florian was in real good shape and form, and the experience in the ring was a big advantage. Perhaps the UFC can give us a Robinson versus Jeremy Stephens fight in the future, i'd like to see those two young lightweights go at it. All of us watching were disappointed with the fight. While both guys had a solid gameplan, the execution just didnt lead to an exciting fight. And if the UFC is going to place the promotional weight of the event on the shoulders of these two fighters, an exciting fight is what the fans expect to see. We watched a wrestling match, their styles were too similar. I would watch Tito/Evans II only hoping that Rashad throws flurries from the opening bell.
