Lambert to fight Gouveia at UFC 76

MMAWeekly.com is reporting that Jason Lambert vs. Wilson Gouveia has been signed for UFC 76 on September 22 in Anaheim, Calif. Matches between Diego Sanchez vs. Jon Fitch and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua vs. Lyoto Machida are also scheduled for the card.

Dana will announce Lidell vs Silva before UFC 74 or maybe even during you’ll see…Still convinced this is all a marketing ploy.
If not then maybe Lidell vs Griffin II, but I think in all honest Forrest wants a few easier fights to build himself before getting back in the Octagon with Chuck.

yeah MJC i tend to feel the same way you do. I can’t see Silva posting the fight on his site and then backing out. Feels like a ploy to pump up interest.

Why they booked it like this instead of Shogun vs. Lambert and Machida vs. Gouveia is a mystery to me. It feels like they decided to bury Machida for his “boring” performance against Heath.
