Report: Fishman settles with Dream Stage Entertainment

The supposed showdown between Ed Fishman and the former parent company of Pride, Dream Stage Entertainment, ended not with a bang, but with a whimper.

Some big name witnesses had been called by Fishman’s lawyers to give depositions in the case such as The Fertittas and Dana White. It had been thought that they might be asked on the record about very sensitive details pertaining to the Zuffa empire as well as their acquisition of Pride from DSE.

However, there will be no need for testimony, as Zach Arnold of FightOpinion.com has broken the news that an apparent settlement in Fishman’s case Pride’s former owners has been predictably (my words) reached.

TOTALLY UNRELATED: I just watched the WrekCAGE with the Faber-Pearson fight, and then went and looked up news on the fight….the WEC page states that it was a TKO, while clearly (to many comments during the airing) Pearson tapped to strikes.

Pearson also, or course, tested positive after the fight, for what the kids call the reefer.

sorry to threadjack…if it sucks, just delete it, trust me I won’t be unhappy.
