I don't think it was a headbutt. It did look that way but I think it might have been because it was an aerial shot.

As for Pulver vs. Swanson, I am waiting to hear back from the WEC in regard to what their upcoming schedule is looking like.

"...Did brian baker headbut jesse forbes on the ground? they didnt show the replay but i was confused. Sure looked like it tho..."

Dude, it was an elbow. We slow-mo'ed it on the DVR, and you could see the elbow hitting the face, it was the angle they showed it from that made it look like a head-but, but it definitely was an elbow/Forearm.

Is anyone else confused on the live shows?

So they are not going to show the Pulver/Swanson fight live?

If the next live fights are Curran/Faber, then maybe the Pulver/Swanson fight will show up on an episode of WRECKAGE or something?

Either way, the December 12th show should be entertaining.

Hmm.. I disagree on the Mir comment. His commentating was on par with his previous performances, but he was pretty confused during the Forbes-Baker fight. I think the action became so quick, he was literally trying to catch up and stopped talking. Harris was calling "deep chokes" when the choke wasn't even in place. I know, I know.. not a huge deal, but it's premature to call that when it's not even a close choke.

The WEC production wasn't half bad, but tons of commercials which I can understand for a free PPV. But... I didn't like the fact that they would come back from commercial, introduce the fight stats for the next fight, then pop into another damn commercial. Very annoying. I think they could have done that a bit differently.

Definitely agree with the McCullough breakdown, it was rather humorous hearing Mir's disbelief that Crunkilton was trying to stand with him. Stann was just way too big to really be dealt with by Billington. I look forward to him fighting for the title. I expected Torres to easily win. Jordan Breen mentioned him on his show and Breen actually ranked him in the top 10 at his weight class. And Torres backed it up with some very good ju-jitsu from his back.

Agreed Sam. The fights were really entertaining and flowed good all night long on the broadcast, one right to another basically. I was extremely impressed by Miguel Torres and Chase Beebe. I thought they were the two going in that were prime for an upset. And both got put in positions that going into the fight we didn't think they would want to be in. Torres taken down by a superior wrestler and Beebe having submission attempts thrown at him like crazy by Yahya. Torres and Beebe both either got out of trouble or used the position(Torres) to eventually win the fight. Impressive performances by both those guys. The WEC Bantamweight division is very deep now with Beebe, Torres, Valencia, Tapia and the recent signing of Marco"Loro"Galvao along with others. Beebe is never going to have an easy defense of his title that's for sure. My guess would be Tapia will get a another chance at the title since he was supposed to be fighting Beebe tonight and Torres might get someone like Eddie Wineland before he gets his title shot.

Brian Stann definitely needs a shot at Doug Marshall soon but I think Rhino is set to fight in October against Ariel Gandula, so I don't think we will see that this year. Perhaps early next year.

Curran-Faber should be a great matchup for the next televised WEC show as well. I am not sure what is next for McCullough though, maybe Varner or Karalexis?

I thought the WEC fights were great. Really entertaining. They were live fights on a Wednesday night & free; a winning combination.

Chase Beebe was really impressive. Looking forward to Curran/Faber.
