I think MMA in ESPN is a very good thing for the sport. As for Kimbo, he is as much of a fighter as anyone on the circuit. He was raised in the streets and did what he had to do to feed the family. He has now transformed into a much better overall fighter both striking and on the ground. His stamina and endurance have also greatly improved. I would like to see any of you hating on him to step in the ring with him for just 2 minutes. It will be the quickest way to learn just how good of a fighter he really is. ALL MMA FIGHTERS ARE TRUE WARRIORS!!!

I think its great that kimbo gets this. im proud for him. i have been watchin him for so long. and i think its cool that someone who does street fights has been noticed. He has success , and what comes with success???? Haters. So congrats you guys can be the first ever haters of Kimbo.

I do not think anyone is hating on Kimbo. I do think it is a question of legitimacy as a fighter. Dizzle brought up the fact of bringing African-Americans into the sport then they should do a story on fighters like the 35 year old Shonie Carter who has been in MMA forever or Two Time World Extreme Fighting middleweight champion and UFC veteran Din Thomas who at only 31 has been in the sport 13 years.
I happen to think that Kimbo has only been tested once during his bareknuckles fighting and tat was against the trained fighter Gannon. Everyone else happened to be a some guys off the street who hoped to get in a lucky punch and win some cash.
I am interested in seeing the spin E:60 puts on this story it could be interesting.

I dont think that ESPN would feature KIMBO if he wasn’t talked about every where. He is talked about everywhere from bars to major fights in Vegas he is all over the internet it seems to me people want to know about Kimbo. They want to know were he comes from. Where did he train was he ever in jail how much he gets paid for his fights what does he have planned for the future. I will bet the same people sayin that Kimbo shouldn’t be featured will tune in. Great job ESPN youve done it again. I”ll be watching

Luke well than he’s African-French then.

and even if this way japan where they have david vs goliath matches…I wouldn’t pay to see Kimbo fight Corey Hill.

We have to face it….Kimbo will never fight in the UFC. He’s already given himself a bad rap and Dana doesn’t deal with alot of fighters like that.
