I find it odd that the IFL is signing guys to contract that are timed deals. A one-year deal leaves a lot open about what events the IFL may throw in at the end. They also cannot simply use UFC tactics and hold a fighter out until he re-signs. That tactic may not work since the IFL is nowhere near the prestige that the UFC is. The stupid stipulations on the Grand Prix that the IFL thought could lock fighters in for a number of years is completely amateur.
