Awesome job with the interview, Sam.

I find it odd that the IFL is signing guys to contract that are timed deals. A one-year deal leaves a lot open about what events the IFL may throw in at the end. They also cannot simply use UFC tactics and hold a fighter out until he re-signs. That tactic may not work since the IFL is nowhere near the prestige that the UFC is.

The stupid stipulations on the Grand Prix that the IFL thought could lock fighters in for a number of years is completely amateur. Add that along with the roadside contract signing attempt, and we have class act written all over the IFL.

Excellent job getting that interview Sam. Some weird stuff going on with the IFL and Monte Cox that's for sure. Real crazy story there with Jay Hieron, not to many guys get taken for a ride and come back alive, haha. Glad to see Jay re-signed with the IFL, very unfortunate for Mike Whitehead it seems. I am actually glad Ben Rothwell is fielding offers from other organizations. He needs to get tested by better fighters and the IFL doesn't have them in the heavyweight division right now.

Theyre spending money faster then they could ever hope to make it I dont think there will be a 2009 season. Especially when you fuck around with Monte all they'd have to do now is fuck over Pavia and they'd be completely up shit creek

Monte's being slightly disingenuous with his remarks there. He has some valid points, but if he's claiming that these guys hate the IFL now because they don't treat their fighters well, I happen to know that Rothwell would tell a different story.

And if he's saying the IFL punished his guys because Rothwell wouldn't sign, then how does he explain Jay Hieron resigning?
