I'm pretty much a UFC nuthugger, but the card was really, really boring. There was a strange feeling to the whole telecast - the crowd seemed to have no energy, like they were drained from working themselves up for Rich. The Belcher/Starnes doctor stoppage really seemed to kill any energy the night had. I thought the exact same thing about Vera - he looked like he was going to copy Randy's clinch/dirty box strategy that he used with Gonzaga, but it never paid off. Silva is a beautiful fighter - so precise. I think he may have held back in the first round to let the fight go on longer and put a show on. Kizer also did an interesting number of interviews around the time of the appeal. Sherk is pretty screwed. Even if he proves the supplements were tainted, Kizer had stated in an interview on TAGGRadio that the suspension will still stand, or may be reduced very little, but he will still be suspended. It is the perogative of the fighter to test his supplements at an independent test facility apparently. It would clear Sherk's name if he could prove his supplements were tainted, but he'll be suspended. Would Dana still strip the title then? He would certainly be pissing off Penn if he lets Sherk retain the title. Sam,

Besides Randy again clarifying his stance on things for a public that may not be sure what's going on. I wonder if ESPN will at all carry anything from this press conference, that might make it a little more interesting as ESPN reaches a far wider audience then internet MMA sites.
