Mike:

He might be a crossover star but I don't consider him an MMA star. It was an impressive debut, but not enough to make him a MMA star after just one fight.

Brock Lesnar is not a star in the US? He said that being a star has been his number one hurdle to overcome getting into MMA. As he himself said, "Everyone in the world knows who I am." He then alluded to the difficulty of having a normal MMA career start. He can't see himself fighting in a hall with 200 fans, when he has been filling arenas with tens of thousands of fans.

People talk about Fedor not being a star in the US... I know as a personality Rampage is more marketable, but it took him all of two fights to become a Superstar. Fedor has own sort of quiet scary charisma to him, and I'm pretty sure defeating Randy Couture would be every bit as star making as Rampage beating Liddell.

All I'm saying is that it wouldn't take that -much- for Fedor to become a star in America. It's as possible with him as it is with anyone.
