IFL announces more changes to World Grand Prix on Nov. 3

The IFL has announced that Brad Blackburn and Reese Andy will not be able to compete in their upcoming World Grand Prix event on Nov. 3 due to injury.

Blackburn, who was scheduled to compete in the welterweight semifinals, has been replaced by UFC and IFL veteran Gideon Ray while Shane Ott will be assuming Andy’s spot in the heavyweight semifinals.

Ott, who has competed for the IFL previously, is a member of the Anthracite Combat Club in Minversville, PA, which includes Jon Murphy, Jim Bova, and Diego Jimenez.

The IFL’s first-ever World Grand Prix event is slated to take place from the Sears Center and matches between Chris Horodecki vs. Bart Palaszewski and Vladimir Matyushenko vs. Alex Schoenauer are scheduled to be aired live on MyNetworkTV.

    Great exposure for Ott!

Yep. Ott is a good guy and a hell of a fighter. The IFL made a good move in bringing him in to compete in the WGP.
