Doerksen to replace Terrell at UFC 78
Joe Doerksen (39-10, 1-3 UFC) will replace David Terrell as Ed Herman’s opponent at UFC 78 according to UFC.com.
Doerksen is an MMA veteran who has had many fights against top class opponents such as former welterweight champion Matt Hughes (loss), Denis Kang (win), Matt Lindland (loss) and Nate Marquardt (loss).
Also of note is that Doerksen already holds a win over Herman back in 2004 via 3rd round triangle choke. I also found it funny it was listed as a technical submission, which implies Herman, “went out like a man, rather than tapping like a bitch.”
This replacement will mark another unfortunate moment in Terrell’s promising career where he has had to pull out with injury. Examples of other cases were potential match ups with Yushin Okami at UFC 62 and then again at UFC 66.
David Terrell (6-2, 2-1 UFC) has not fought in Mixed Martial Arts competition since April of 2006 where he submitted Scott Smith by rear-naked choke at UFC 59.

Also, for better or worse, David Terrell is a UFC fighter. He’s still under contract to the promotion.

And by the way Denis Kang is half French Canadien half Korean. which means if you want to get technical, the s in denis is silent and it should be pronounced denny.
