Matt Hughes is sadistic, there’s not to many guys he respects, only the highest level of achievers meet his standards. He probably doesn’t know a about natural foods for pure atheletic benefits, the guy grew up on a farm… Hughes is just old school wrestling mentality, where they beat you up and that’s how you learn, only the strong survive mentality.

Very good interview. Hughes’ fighters weren’t relaxed when they fought and were beat up. Not exactly a good strategy.

I still think Matt Hughes is a bully. Beating guys on his own team did not work for him. The crazy part is that he did not learn a lesson from it. What he was doing is not what I would call “tough love” either. He showed a remarkable lack of compassion for a Christian and a father, but criticized Mac for being cruel to Blake. He also came down on Matt Serra for his remarks about Joey and had the nerve to suggest that had Joey been on “his” team he could have kept him from leaving (maybe he meant he would have beat him within an inch of his life so he’d have to crawl out on his hands and knees). Hughes is an arrogant guy with a high school jock mentality.

Taking a shot at Hughes? Give me a break. Every question in this interview was warranted given what happened to Dan’s hand on the show and everything we’ve seen from Hughes so far this season.

Hughes created this situation and these types of questions himself, I didn’t manufacture them.

What is your problem with Matt Hughes? Everyone of your articles concerning TUF takes some sort of shot at him. Here are a few extra questions you could have asked Dan…

1. During taping of TUF casualties in the Iraq war went up. Why do you think Matt Hughes let that happen?

2. One of Team Serra’s guys left the show early. In what ways do you blame Matt Hughes for that?

3. Traffic during my morning commute is getting pretty rough. Matt Hughes has to put a stop to that stuff. What do you think?

Awesome interview. That shadow boxing scene is classic, but I just realized that they had a camera in the bathroom, isn’t that kind of weird? Dan seems like a cool guy, pretty obvious Hughes was running his guys into the ground. That might have contributed to the losing.

That fire captain is a dick. Come on give the man a break, pursuing a dream and having to make sacrifices like that. I am glad your wife is doing ok Dan, that was sort of freaky.

I was curious about the shadow boxing, I bet that was put together from weeks in the gym. The concept of reality TV is a joke, in reality we don’t have 5 takes. I like the term unscripted drama, they will edit in anyway to make the show more compelling, and I don’t think that helped Dan come off in the best light. It was funny the way they played up the shadow boxing I had a good chuckle.

Adam, that was a great interview. It was nice to get to hear Barrera’s side of things.

Sam, muscle milk is a drink that is produced and sold at supplement stores. You’re supposed to drink it after you work out because it can help your muscles regenerate.

Hey Morgan, do you realize that you may have just come upon a big story here?

So thats why Hughes team did poorly, it was all that damn muscle milk(couldn’t have been all the Jesus stuff, religion only helps fighters).

ps Barrera is telling the truth about that stuff, I worked at a sports camp where a lot of guys were drinking it and they had the same issues.
