Sure, a fight is a fight and anything can happen, but John never had a chance during this fight and I think we all knew going into the fight that Mac was probably going to win. If Serra was really interested in ensuring that Hughes's guys don't make it to the semis, then it's George vs. Tommy and Matt vs. Mac. I'm going to have to agree with you, these two coaches (Matt + Matt) come off looking like complete dicks. No way about it. Serra is a totally classless champion and Hughes is a dude on his way down, living off what he did, not off what he does. This season has just been terrible. I wish they would have more interviews and what not at the begining of the seaon before team selection. For me it would have changed things quite a bit I think. As for who is the better coach, it's hard to say with only 6 weeks total for these guys to work with the fighters but you look at a guy Serra has trained for years, best man at his wedding and all, he gets tapped out first fight and goes home two days later. That to me is a better indication of coaching. When it all boils down to it, I think with the fight selections the way they are now, the last two Hughes fighters make the Semis and stand a good chance of having an all Hughes final. I think Tommy is too "farm-boy" strong and stupid to lose to Ben or George. I think Mac is just too good to lose to Matt A. Bad selections on Serras part.
