FiveOuncesOfPain.com (www.FiveOuncesOfPain.com) has learned through multiple sources that M-1 Global is leaning towards holding their first pay-per-view event in the U.S. in Newark, NJ at the Prudential Center, the same venue that hosted UFC 78 earlier this month.

Officials from M-1 recently visited the Prudential Center and were impressed with the venue and are looking at booking a possible date in February or March.

Fedor vs. Barnett? That would be sweeeet!! Such a fight would answer a lot of criticism the Russian Experiment has been receiving for not fighting top competition.

Let’s hope there is some substance to this rumor…

  2. Da Twin says:

M-1 should be able to get Josh B under contract

  3. Rln says:

Monte Cox has already stated that he wants to build up Fedor’s name in the NA market so a match with Barnett won’t happen until he disposes of a few fighters that are less threatening. Fedor vs. Barnett will be a great match for NYE if they can get both under contract and with a few wins each in 2008.

Well, that rumor didn’t last too long. Thanks Rln for exposing this as a hoax.

NJ Fags. you guys get to many good events up there.

  6. jjdnb says:

Man i was so excited about Fedor going to M1, finally some competition for the UFC. But man these guys are looking like some real slackers. Company seems disorganized. I hope they can get their shit together.
