I just think that the this turn of events was a great turn out for Hughes. I'm just not a big fan of Serra and how he picks on Hughes all the time during the show. ]]> By: garth http://fiveouncesofpain.com/2007/12/06/tuf-6-episode-12-recapthoughts/comment-page-1/#comment-7600 garth Thu, 06 Dec 2007 07:44:23 +0000 http://fiveouncesofpain.com/2007/12/06/tuf-6-episode-12-recapthoughts/#comment-7600 i'm just pissed that a-hole matt hughes has both his fighters in the final. the fights were generally disappointing, not taking anything away from either guy...kolosci had nothing for mac, he was a boy against a man. george made the typical error of a tough guy in going in too soon after an illegal blow. you see it all the time after groin shots, back-of-the-head blows, etc... so what was the point of this season anyways? to prove that danzig with 21 pro fights was better than the other guys? to prove that Dana White reads from a script? listening to him talk after arroyo bowed out was ridiculous. what a poser. even my girlfriend, who's generally annoyed when i watch this stuff, said "What the hell is wrong with that guy? this kid's obviously hurt." so this was pretty much the nadir for me: the only fighter i was rooting for is out (arroyo), the coach got hurt, and hughes and his smug BS is going to be gabbing on about how great he is til he fights GSP. god, what a bummer few months of MMA. all that and we lose Big John to retirement too.
