The problem is, Huerta coasted for the 1st two rounds, almost looking like he was just trying not to get knocked out (which he almost did, at least twice, once seriously). If a fighter who can actually finish fights had been in there, Huerta would have been done. Huerta is both, and so I understand both arguments. If Huerta fights with intensity every round, not just the last round, then he is ready for the big show. He also needs to be careful of eating too many counter punches. However, I have to agree that Huerta doesn't look like a natural #1 contender. The fight with Guida exposed too many holes in his game (light strikes, lack of take-down defense, slow starter, etc). You just have to catch that frustrated look on his face that kept coming up when he was taken down repeatedly. Personally, I never wanna see Huerta lose.
