5 Oz. of Pain featured on G4’s Attack of the Show!
Your favorite MMA blog FiveOunceofPain.com was featured on G4’s Attack of the Show last night (12/17/07). We had no idea they were highlighting us, but our site was the lead and they spent a good amount of time telling the viewers at home why we kick ass.
We were just as shocked as you were to learn that Sam Caplan was a participant of the UFC, PRIDE, and Bodog. I guess he’s a participant if watching those events at home on his couch count as participating?
We have no idea where that came from and it sure as heck didn’t come from us, but G4 still rules.

Sweet. I remember being one of 3-5 people posting on the original site over a year ago. During that time I remember a 2 week period where Sam didn’t post anything new and I thought he was done with the site. Glad I kept it bookmarked

Awesome. That must have been when it crashed for a little while.
This place has come a long way. Think I discovered this place looking up what else Sam had written after I liked something I found on CBSSportsline.

Good piece about the site except when they said Sam participated in the UFC, PRIDE, and BodogFight (unless he’s keeping something from us - in that case Harkness is screwed).

THey don’t know what the hell they’re saying, but it was a very cool plug anyway.. gotta like their enthusiasm for trying.

Aside from saying I was a participant in the UFC, PRIDE, and Bodog, they were pretty much on the money.

Congratulations to everyone who is doing a good job helping out on the site.
Sam like I’ve always have said this is the best MMA News & Opinion Web Site out there. Everyone here is doing a great job.

It was pretty damn cool to be surprised with this. Thanks to all our readers, an overwhelming majority who visit this site multiple times a day.
Sam, Adam and myself are floored by the following this site has and continue to improve the site in every way possible.
Big thanks to hardcore reader “Dizzle” for the artwork/banners that have made this site really pop.
This site is built and maintained by MMA fans for MMA fans so any suggestions you have, we want to hear them. We’ve heard you guys ask for forums, 5 Oz hoodies, live blogging during events, more Inside the Cage Radio, and especially more contests with cool prizes. We are trying to bring all this to you (and a ton more) in 2008.
We may not be all things to all MMA fans, but we are Five Ounces of Pain.
5 Oz FTW

Awesome! Congrats guys!
Just an aside for Owen and anyone else interested - in Army Combatives, women fight men in the same weight classes.
At the All Army Combatives tournament, one woman made it to the quarterfinals before losing to the eventual tournament champ at 145…

Mr. Takedown
If you guys end up making a forum I can assist modding if you would like. I run a rather large forum myself and would be glad to lend a hand.
