I think Tito back in the day was one of the best. But i don’t think anybody realizes what kimbo can actually do ya kimbo lost against cannon i bet you put cannon with kimbo now see what happens he had all the right tools back then but not the training. Kimbos more hungry than any fighter out there today he’s going to eat Tito alive.

Belt Schmelt, we’re talkin’ Tito vs Kimbo. And where the hell does Shaw get the idea that Tito’s got a suspect chin. He’s got a fricken cinder block for a head, it took everything Shamrock had right on the button, to put him down on one knee(not on his ass).
By the way Jay K, the guy keeps himself relevant by stepping into the ring with the hardest trained, toughest MMA guys in the world on a consistent basis. His standup may be questionable, but that means questionable against guy’s like Chuck(so that’s not bad). I mean we all saw Kimbo get wooped by Gannon in that street fight, consequently Gannon gets wooped by Brandon Lee Hinkle? How do they give Kimbo a chance?

I think that Tito “used” to be the greatest marketer in MMA.

You can’t just keep on marketing the same person for more than a couple of years…that is unless your someone like Tiger Woods who keeps on performing.

Tito hasn’t shown that he is ready to hold the belt again.

Does everybody miss (or just simply accept) that Tito Ortiz is the Greatest Marketer when it comes to MMA Buzz?

The guy keeps hisself relevant by keeping his name in the news. You KNOW him because of how often he’s in the papers.

Seriously, could any of your friends that are vaguely familiar with MMA pick out John Fitch out’ve a crowd?

It’s amazing to me that Shaw doesn’t realize how much credibility he loses (ie, almost all of it) when he says things like, “Kimbo Slice would beat Tito Ortiz!” or “Antonio Silva is the #1 heavyweight in the world now!” or “KJ Noons is the #1 lightweight in the world now!” He is another company present who would be well served to “do” rather than “speak.”

Kimbo’s game is a joke. Tito would eat him alive. Kimbo’s stand up is still suspect and I don’t think he has enough years left in him to ever be even mentioned in the same sentence as Tito.

Of course Shaw is going to say that. This sounds just like something Don King would say to get a real champ to fight his paper champ, just to get the revenue. He doesn’t even care, or have the knowledge of a ground game if he thinks a couple months with Bas are good enough. The bottom line is that Tito has some serious ground skills unlike Cantrell or Mercer. His only chance is to knock him out.
As far as Carano, maybe Shaw will change his mind when he see’s her in that little spandex number.

“Sam Caplan: Gina Carano is going to appear in the upcoming revival of American Gladiators on NBC under the name “Crush.” Did she consult with EliteXC before signing on to do the show?

Gary Shaw: Well, that’s a legal question. I don’t want to discuss that specific question. But if we can work out everything then I think it could be great for Gina.”

That wasn’t asked as a legal question at all, but in his response, Gary Shaw has practically come out and said to the world, unsolicited, “EliteXC has legal issues with Gina Carano” in some form, shape, or fashion.
