Rich Franklin Injured, Out Until June
MMAJunkie.com is reporting that Rich Franklin’s fight camp has informed them that Franklin has a torn meniscus in his right knee.
According to this report, the news of the injury came only day after Franklin allegedly signed on to fight Travis Lutter in a co-main event bout at UFC 82 in Columbus, Ohio. This may have something to do with Franklin’s Myspace announcement a couple of days ago.
Rich will be heading out to Las Vegas in early January for a surgical procedure that could have him back in the Octagon as early as June of 2008.

Looks like I won the bet. Franklin already lost the match before it even started.
He isn’t ready.
I think Franklin should take a good half year off before fighting again. I’m not happy he is injured because he is a good guy, but Im’ glad to see he won’t be rushing back into fighting.
He needs to recover after the second loss to Silva.
Does this have anything to do with that ridiculous movie he was making?
Wasn’t that movie like the terminator or some shit? This is just a prediction, but i think Ed Herman may take his place.
