You wouldn't guess it from his record but he is a legendary figure in the Australian MMA scene. Many of losses are against the best such as Tito Ortiz, Renato Sobral, Forrest griffin, Frank Shamrock etc. People look at his record and judge him but again those losses came from TOP competition. You look at Michael Bisping and say he might not be the best but if you put it into a wider scale you will see how good Bisping, Sinosic etc are even though they have lost to the absolute worlds best and not that many of the worlds best are outside of the UFC(There are quite a few like Fedor, Gomi etc but the UFC has a lot). I hope to see him fighting again soon, I will be watching and supporting Elvis. Elvis is a great guy and a great fighter. Always very friendly and professional...... He's right about the Australian MMA scene though, there's too many ignorant politicians saying it's barbaric and lethal cagefighting. It would probably remind you guys in the states of the "dark ages" of the UFC. I'm hoping that when the UFC comes here the professionalism and the marketing power of the organisation will turn it all around.
