It’s finally upon us. How long have we been waiting to see this picture?

some one is gettin knoced out
That whole thing looked about as real as a three-dollar bill!
That was the most intense I’ve seen ol’ Chucky in a while. That made me a little more excited to see him knock Wandy out!
All I pray for is it last longer than the Rampage/Chuck II and it doesn’t get called because of a cut or bs early stoppage. Thats all I’m hoping for.
If only they would go at it for three rounds like Huerta/Guida did and end it with a KO. I’d pay double to see that.
the way i see this fight is chuck has alot more to lose than wand. wand is a new face in america, and new to tons of the newer fans. he’s already got a huge aura around him, so a loss to chuck now, even a third consecutive ko, won’t sidetrack his career much now that’s he’s UFC. chucky on the other hand is going to lose a major amount of aura if he gets ko’d by wandy.
that said…i’m pickin’ my man wanderlei, 2/3rds into the first round. trust.
The tension was so thick, you could have ct it with a knife. Chuck cut it by flipping off Wand when he was leaving the stage, which means we´ll see Chuck badly bloodied by Wanderlei´s newest weapon: his elbows. I hope they´re not quite as effective as his stomps or soccer kicks, that he´not allowed to use, so Chuck makes it out of there alive… aight enough trash talk,my prediction:
Wanderlei “the Axe Murderer” Silva KO´s Chuck “The Ice-Man” late in the 2nd round after losing the first round by points.
If there was any fakeness it was on Silva’s part. Just trying to play up to the American crowd. Throwing his hat into the audience, then waiting until the staredown to ‘rip’ off his shirt, to end it up with a head and shoulder flinch at Liddell. Was a good job though, got people even more excited.
IT’S GOIN DOWN!!!!
I dunno. I watched it, and watched it again. I didn’t see Chuck flinch at all. Even if he did, who the hell cares, it’s going to be a good fight.
I hope Silva did act up a bit. Light a fire under Chuck’s ass, and watch what happens. Or ask Tito.
wolfe, you got it wrong this time: if a fire was lit, it was under Wanderlei´s already flaming ass by Chuck giving him the finger. I think its yo who should watch what happens
If Chuck can win this one, he’d have me back as a fan. Not because I’m any kind of a fair weather fan, but because it would show me he got that rockstar crap out of his head and he’s back to being the old Chuck again. Chuck in the 2nd round.
sorry makeutapout ….that makes you a fair weather fan.
Is it just me, or does Silva’s muscle mass look smaller than in his PRIDE days?
Lighting Mike.
PRIDE had an amazing ability to make things look so grand on TV.
Damn I miss it…
Evan–
Lighting? seriously? I was wondering about differences in weight classes between PRIDE and UFC and whether Silva had to cut down to 205. I was also wondering about dietary supplements, frankly.
I don’t want to just boil it down that far but part of it yes.
Evan, not really. If a fighter that I like truly gives it his all and doesn’t get it into his head that he’s big shit and doesn’t need to try, then win or lose, I’ll still be a fan. I’m still a Cro Cop fan and we all know what’s been going on with him. Shit, I’m an Alessio Sakara fan, lol. I, like a lot of people started getting the feeling that Chuck was getting a big head. I don’t know him personally, but some of my friends do and he seemed to be buying into the hype a little to much. That effects how you train and fight. What I was saying is that if he checked himself and got himself in a good frame of mind, he’d win it. He’d train like he knew he had to work for it. He won it and he looked a lot like his old self last night. If he didn’t deflate his head a little he would have lost. It’s not the winning or losing that makes me like fighters. It’s the kind of fighters they are.
