Matt Hughes will never leave the UFC

Although Matt Hughes may be wavering a bit on if he will fight again, one thing Hughes knows for sure is that it will be with the UFC or no one.

“I will never fight for another organization. Never. Don’t even bother making me an offer,” Hughes said.

While Hughes’ contract status is not presently known, the above quote is a definitive message to any possible suitors. The former welterweight champion is not going anywhere.

Like him or not, Hughes’ loyalty to the company that made him a household name is undeniable if not admirable. In the era of fighters jumping from place to place for the largest check, Hughes is clearly dedicated to the place that helped make him famous.
