Good picks all, but I dont see Guida\Huerta as the best fight in MMA in 07. It was awesome but Wandy vs Hendo gets my pick.

Great picks, but Couture should’ve won hands down. He’s older, smaller, and shorter than Gonzaga and Sylvia, and he dominated both. In my book those accomplishments are even bigger than fighter of the year.

agree w/ everything except your last section.

Matt Serra should not gain consideration because he fought 1 fight in 2007 (less than Fedor!) and as well as Forrest performed against Shogun, i don’t think he’s anywhere close to being fighter of the year for 2007 at least.

All solid awardees. The Diaz suspension was, and is, ridiculous. You can argue about marijuana’s good or bad effects on a fighter, but to give him 3 more months than guys who tested positive for steroids is absurd.

What kind of message does that send to other fighters?
