I know this has been an issue with Arlovski before but Kimbo’s beard is a beadt of its own. And I am not saying the beard would affect punching but possibly grappling.

The beard controversy has come up before . Boxing, wrestling, kickboxing decided they would have too much explaining to do to their Sikh, and Muslim participants as to why they can’t compete. So I don’t see MMA going any differently.
About the grappling, the most prestigious grappling tourny in the world carries the name Abu Dhabi. Although I can’t think of any bearded competitors off hand(one’s that compare with Kimbo’s beard), I just don’t see them making a big deal out of the beard thing.
Good point though, nobody’s really brought it up before for MMA.
