According to UFC.com’s Thomas Gerbasi, Jeremy Horn has been tapped as the injury replacement for Thales Leites against Nathan Marquardt at UFC 81 on February 2 in Las Vegas.
It is not known whether Horn will be competing on a one-fight basis or if he’s been signed to a long-term contract.
Leites was scratched after suffering a hand injury while training.
Horn, who has fought in the UFC before, and even fought and lost in the main event of UFC 54 against Chuck Liddell, whom he had previously beaten at UFC 19 in 1999.
Horn has competed since 1996 and has compiled a documented record of 79-16-5, however, it’s widely accepted that he has competed well over 100 times throughout his career.
