EliteXC has announced that James “The Colossus” Thompson will face undefeated heavyweight Brett Rogers on the undercard of the promotion’s February 16 show in Miami, Florida that’s scheduled to be headlined by Kimbo Slice vs. Tank Abbott.

The promotion has also announced that Charles “Krazy Horse” Bennett has been added to the undercard against an opponent yet to be announced. Bennett is a Florida native, hailing from Ocala.

Bennett, 19-14-2, will be fighting for EliteXC for the first time since a disappointing loss to Victor Valenzuela during August’s ShoXC event. Bennett tapped due to strikes at 3:23 of round 1 in what had been promoted as a heated grudge match.

I hope he doesn’t come out to fight like he did in Pride.

God I just remember that time he fought Alexander Emeilenko and he came out swinging for the fences and then got caught and the fight was over.

Great person to watch no doubt. I just hope he doesn’t goes in for the kill right away.

I think I also remember him losing to Butterbean if I am correct.

I hope someone has shown him what a gameplan is.

No doubt Evan. I always thought that James could be a great fighter, but I always had the impression that he thought his stair downs alone would win him the match.

I know he was training at Coutures Camp for a little while. I’m sure he’s learn alot during his time there.

Anyone have any news on Fedor’s brother Alexander and his youngest brother?

  4. William W. says:

Rogers looked great on the EliteXC: Renegade undercard. Should be a good fight.

  5. Evan says:

There is a video out there of him training in GB and his gym looked pathetic. I hope he has re-worked his game from top to bottom as I am always pulling for as much legit international talent as this sport can get.
