Report: Paul Buentello added to EliteXC/Strikeforce show on March 29

Former UFC heavyweight contender Paul Buentello is the latest name reported to be fighting on the upcoming combined Strikeforce and EliteXC show scheduled for March 29 in San Jose.

The news was first reported by Brian Knapp of The Fight Network.

According to the report, an opponent for Buentello has yet to be finalized.

Buentello last fought on November 16 in San Jose. He lost to Alistair Overeem in a match to decide the winner of the vacant Strikeforce heavyweight title when he submitted to knees to the body at 3:42 of round 2.

    I’d like to see Buentello have a better showing than he did against Alistair. Also, I’d like to see Alistair have a fight against a legit HW.

    Buentello may not look the part but he is as legit as they get-great striking-cant wait to see him back in the UFC!
