Exclusive: M-1 Global looking to promote first show in Chicago on May 3

January 29, 2008 by Sam Caplan

Sources within M-1 Global revealed to FiveOuncesOfPain.com (www.FiveOuncesOfPain.com) late Monday night that they are working to secure a May 3 date at the All-State Arena just outside of Chicago for their first-ever show.

Rumors about a potential show in May have been rampant on the Internet with several potential matches being reported. However, many of rumored matchups thus far appear to be untrue. In fact, the M-1 Global official indicated that aside from Fedor Emelianenko, the promotion currently doesn’t even have any other fighters under contract. While the promotion is in talks with several fighters, nothing has been finalized.

Has to be Fedor/Arlovski. M-1 won’t talk about it, they don’t want the UFC overpaying Arlovski to keep him out of their hands. But as soon as he hits the free agent market, they’ll be on him like a fat kid on a Shoney’s buffet.
