Credeur trains out of the Gladiator Academy in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he has served as both a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a mixed martial arts instructor in the past.

One of Credeur’s teammates at the Academy, Kyle Bradley, who also serves as Gladiator’s MMA instructor, will be making his UFC debut this weekend on the UFC 81 undercard against Chris Lytle in a welterweight battle.

A black belt under Rodrigo Medeiros, Credeur is 9-2 in his pro MMA career and has several notable wins, including a first round submission of Lance Everson in April of 2004.

The 30-year old has also suffered some notable losses as well, to the likes of Joey Villasenor and Chael Sonnen. In his second career pro right during King of the Cage 13 in 2002, Credeur tapped in the second round due to strikes from Villasenor. While competing for BodogFIGHT during their Costa Rica tapings in August, 2006, Credeur suffered a TKO against Sonnen at 2:18 of round 1.
