Suring DreamStage is asking for trouble with the Yamaguchi Gumi guys.
I doubth Dana is going to step foot in Japan for a long time and if he does, there is probably going to be a big discount on “white” meat ramen in Kobe.

It was a horrible deal for the UFC but its not Prides fault that the UFC brass are so stupid to sign the contract.

No they don’t. They own much more and I think their highest earner is HUSTLE which is a wrestling show.

If DreamStage is a shell company and thus has no assets, it is meaningless to sue DreamStage. But if , Hustle is a corporate asset of DreamStage and can be sought after. However, Zuffa also sued Sakakibara in some form of corporate piercing claim or as an individual defendant.

they are spreading themselves awfully thin…..this Zuffa company. I bet their team of lawyers is probably around $2 million a year at least. Why is everyone picking on Zuffa? (sarcasm)… Something is seriously shady with Zuffa.

Wow another lawsuit. Didn’t I rant on about corporate greed as a potential downfall of Dana’s? I mean I’m skimming the surface here, but it appears that Zuffa doesn’t have a lot of their legal strings pulled very tightly. Too many loose ends, and I question the legal team of Zuffa. Not just on corp. acquisitions & contract law w/pertinence to its fighters, but in Re: to other deals out there that we might not know about. . .i.e., network deals, etc. . .

Information disclosed during the course of a lawsuit is usually open to the public. However, any of the parties can ask the court to sign a protective order that prevents disclosure of sensitive or propietary info to anybody other than the parties or their lawyers. Frequently the parties will agree to an order that allows both sides or all sides to keep their trade secrets and sensitive info private. Protective orders are pretty standard in any kind of high end commercial litigation.

If you want some info that wouldn’t be protected, however, the complaint could be accessed. Those are almost never sealed, and it would at least explain the basis of the lawsuit. Most states require a fair amount of factual specificity when pleading fraud, so there’s a good chance you’d get more info from this complaint than most.
