Fedor told Dana he was ready to face any UFC fighter. Dana would only have to let his “SUPERSTRONG” fighters prove that Fedor is not a true champ. But Dana prefers the situation as it is now cause if best UFC fighters (who’s decent left? only Coutoure I think) got destroyed by Fedor, the UFC would lose its status of the “strongest” organisation. Fedor doesn have to prove anything to anyone , he has already done it. Whe should Fedor go to Dana, let Dana go to Fedor….maybe Dana is just a coward…and he’s scared that UFC myth will be annihilated by Fedor!!!.

Wow. Talk about a left turn in #10. From Sambo tournament to Dana bashing. At times the “Dana White as villian” crowd verge on irrationality. No matter what the subject, no matter what the circumstances, the post will veer towards further villification of White. It’s to the point that he almost has supernatural powers, causing whatever perceived ills exist in MMA. One of these days I expect to read a post to the effect that he was behind 9-11. Or the war in Iraq. Or hurricane Katrina. Damn him and his fiendish super powers!

Just goes to show you that “DANA” has a bit too much ego. They said that Fedor fighting in the Sambo tourney’s was the point they could not agree on to go ahead with the contract for the UFC. I am actually glad to see that DANA is looking much like a fool now.

He wasn’t going to allow the guy to do this? It looked like lightweight training. With head gear on!

Really DANA has put himself in an even worse position now. If the Couture vs Fedor fight ever happens it will be a co promote which the UFC does not want to do. If he would have signed him allowing him to participate in the Sambo tournaments, Couture might not have left and the fans would have seen the “Fight of the Century” and I am sure that thing would have sold out in a matter of minutes!!

man, a fighter can’t even win a tournament without people ripping him apart and saying how poor his opponents skills are.

These guys are the best Sambo fighter in Russia. It’s not like they just round up random people off the street for Fedor to face. He won fair and square and I’m sure that his opponents train harder or just as hard as Fedor.

Fedor’s just a natural fighter.

Fedor not signing with the UFC so he can participate in these Sambo tournaments is like Alex Rodriguez not wanting to sign a contract with a Major League Baseball team because it would prevent him from playing on his beer league softball team. Yeah I’m sure it’s fun for him, but how fun can it be if he’s just tearing through the other competitors? I hope he got his full 2 minutes worth of enjoyment out of it. There’s a karate studio not to far from where I live — I’m sure there’s some 5th graders there he could pound on for a little bit.

(Yes, I know the ability to participate in Sambo tournaments wasn’t the ONLY reason Fedor didn’t sign with the UFC, but it was a big enough reason to be frequently mentioned, and it’s the only way the analogy works… I’m mostly joking here.)
