here’s a thought…with all this nonsense about lawsuits, couture, fedor, zuffa, mark cuban, hdnet

for a second, let’s get beyond the obvious here…yes the fight will generate interest, a sellout, lots of marketing

but what if the fight sucks…think about it.
i think everyone is assuming this is guaranteed to be one of the best all time fights, or it will be a war

but what if the fight sucks…is boring,
or ends really quick…would make all this build up kinda of pointless in the end.

It’s hard to determine what type of motion Couture filed. Presumably it’s a motion for summary judgment, which are fairly common in civil lawsuits like this. If so, Couture will have to argue that there is no dispute about the facts (who did what and when, for example), or that even if the facts are as alleged by Zuffa, he’s right and the claims should be dismissed as a matter of law. If there are disagreements about who did what and when, the motion will be denied, and the matter will have to go to trial unless it’s settled. Such motions are approached with caution by judges, and the party seeking dismissal has the laboring oar.

As I understand the story, the hearing on Zuffa’s motion for an injunction will occur before the hearing on the motion to dismiss. If the court issues the injunction, this would tend to suggest that the motion to dismiss will be denied. It would seem inconsistent to issue the injunction and then dismiss the lawsuit in which it was requested.

I don’t really care about the outcome either way, but i wish the courts would hurry up and get this resolved.

I like Randy, but I have to say, I am getting sick of all the out of ring news about him and his wife.

Everyday I hope to read that the lawsuits are over. But, everyday they seem to become more complicated.

All this is gonna do is cause a back and forth battle between the UFC and Randy, with Cuban getting involved also.

All it is going to do is tie up Randy in the courts until he is too old to fight anymore….or unitl he runs out of money or someone to back him
