Exclusive: Tim McKenzie to join the WEC

Tim McKenzie is the latest fighter to join the expanding roster of World Extreme Cagefighting, ProElite.com (SamCaplan.ProElite.com) has learned exclusively through a source with close ties to McKenzie. He is expected to fight Steve Cantwell during the WEC’s next card on March 26 in Las Vegas at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

McKenzie, 11-4, according to Sherdog.com’s fight finder, has fought in multiple weight classes throughout his career, primarily at middleweight and light heavyweight.

He has competed in the past for several major promotions, including Pancrase, BodogFIGHT, and the WEC under previous owners Scott Adams and Reed Harris.
