#6: “the best card in ufc history”…. really, its a good card with the potential of being a great card, yet with chance of being a lay & pray contest… there are a few questions that this card should answer, how good is lyoto, is soko going to get back to his pride ways? is wanderlei going to use his clinch work to take the distance away from jardine…. is evans going to be boring again, and will BJ own sheirk and finally keep him quite? i hope so…. cheers.

Tito.. boring decision..

i don’t see Machida sub’ing or KO’ing Tito..

Machida sure does get a lot of credit..

before the sokoudju fight.. there wasn’t much talk about him being sooo good.. and every single fight was a “Tim Sylvia” [you know, UBER boring]fight for him.. i mean, he couldn’t finish the easiest of opponents.. and then he finished Sokoudju.. idk.. it doesn’t make sense to me.. and i would kinda like to see him beat Tito.. i just don’t see it happening.. i don’t really like Machida.. and i don’t like Tito.. but it otta be a good fight..

and Evan,
i believe it’s true..
i don’t think he likes his pay..
but.. if he DOES leave.. he would be amazing for a top contender in another organization..
either way.. i just don’t want him to stop fighting.. he’s VERY exciting.. w/ the exception of the Terry Martin fight. but.. that was a fluke.. for sure..

but ya.. i hope he’s changed.. just as i hope AA has changed.. wouldn’t want to see him leave either..

Won’t happen methinks. From what I have read he hates it there. Who knows if that’s changed.

Outside Karo and Yoshida himself, these are two of the best Judoka’s in MMA ’bout to go at it. We’ll see. I think Nakamura is going to have 1 more fight at LHW before he makes the cut to 185.

I like the matchup, and a comment ealier about the UFC needs to build up it’s Japanese fighter base, with Dream now in the MMA mix, it looks like the young Japanese lightweights will probaly stay at home…Also what ever happen to Ricardo Arona??? no one ever signed him…

Very good card from top to bottom. Obviously the top 5 are the cream and definitely should make for a good PPV card. But the other fights all have some good, young talent in them and should make some good highlights if we can get them on the show with the other 5 fights already.

Four of those top five fights are in the LHW division. I’d say that could be four contenders to fight the winner of Griffin/Jackson. Who gets the title shot? Or do they fight eachother first and wait until the UFC decides to hold a big LHW title fight in December? Don’t even suggest that Liddell/Shogun get title shots anytime soon. In my mind, they’ve both got work to do to live down their losses.

This fight card may be the best fight card in UFC history. All 5 of the televised fights could headline a show by themselves. Wow. That fight card gives me a boner. I cannot wait to see all of them, but especially Wandy vs Jardine.

What do you mean? They already have plenty of American cans (like Leben and Irvin and McFedries), Brazilian cans (like Gurgel) and Italian cans (like Sakara).

Besides, Nakamura is not a can.

Assuming that the top five fights would be the main card, that’s a PPV that I’d definitely go out of my way to see. The undercard… not so much.
