Point sparring in shotokan probably does not deliver the knockout but he is precise. Also the team that is helping him apply more power to his technical style is very credible. Just look at the big hitters he trains with... Nogueira, Anderson Silva, I think Belfort is also in Chute Box (not sure on this one). the Rua brothers... When you have this kind of support, you will definitely evolve. Let’s not forget that Machida still is in a transition phase from TMA.
