Actually, scratch something I said there: winner of Mir/Herring will fight winner of Vera/Werdum, from there the winner of that match will go up against either Nog, or winner of Randy/Fedor... probly.

God damnit now I'm all confused.

I think what we'll see happen "if" Fedor and Randy are both in the UFC is that:

Fedor and Randy will be put up to fight asap.
Nog will fight the winner of that fight.
Mir will face Herring.
Winner of Mir/Herring will fight either Nog after Nog fights winner of Fedor/Couture, or winner of Mir/Herring will fight winner of Fedor/Couture.

Herring vs. Mir is to me at least, the most obvious choice as a "next step" for Mir and Herring.

UFC HW division is so fubar'd because of this interim crap.

I recall Big Nog stating he wants to fight Randy (Handy... lol). I don't think he would care about his interim title if he gets the chance to fight Couture. I'm even willing to bet he doesn't care if he has to wait and fight the winner of Fedor v Couture (if it were to ever happen) so long as he gets the chance to validate his status as UFC heavyweight champ.

I think you see Fedor fight Nog first then if they bring Randy back he fights Fedor...Unless Nog wins... Then the whole thing is FUBAR'd.

I thought Werdum was the number one contender? I think a lot of things have to fall through before Mir is considered. Werdum, Herring, possibly AA.

i still see them putting mir up against either herring or sylvia before the title shot. no need to rush things, especially with the randy/fedor debachle still on going. if it's sylvia, they can play that awful arm breaking clip another eight thousand times, in setting up a rematch. and if it's herring... dare i say it... it might actually be an exciting fight. not sure i'd say the same about a match with sylvia, but he (big tim) does deserve another shot at #1 contendership.

in a perfect world, we'd see fedor randy and aa, all fight in the octagon in the next year, but i think that's a pipedream.

It's not about Nog's feelings it's about admitting that the belt Nog and Sylvia fought for was just BS and they would basically be admitting to dooping the audience.

I could get over that just to see the Fedor/Couture fight but it's still a feckin retarted situation.

Dana wouldn't care about Nog's feelings if Fedor entered the UFC. It would be Randy vs. Fedor and the winner fights Nog....It's simple.

On a slightly different note, say the UFC does sign Fedor and Randy comes back. You would think that they'd immediately make Fedor vs. Randy for the heavyweight title but what the hell does that say about the interim title.

Nogueira is just going to be shunted to the side and the belt he gained will basically be declared worthless which is a bit harsh.
