To win this DVD set be one of the first five readers to post the correct answers to the following five questions.

1. How did reigning BodogFIGHT welterweight champion Nick Thompson earn the nickname “The Goat?”

2. This up and coming heavyweight suffered his first and only loss to date to Eric Pele, who competed during season two. Name the fighter and the event in which he suffered the loss.

3. Name two major celebrities who attended the BodogFIGHT “Clash of the Nations” PPV last April in St. Petersburg as guests of Fedor Emelianenko?

4. Name the fighter in episode six of season two that served as a personal trainer on VH1’s “Celebrity Fit Club.”

He shed half of his moniker when he showed a growing propensity to maintain consciousness, but the reminder is still there.

    1. By always getting knocked out in his early days he got the name “the fainting goat” then when he got better, the dropped the fainting and it just became “the goat”

    1. He used to get knocked out easily in training when he first started, resembling the “fainting goats”. Training partners started calling him “The Fainting Goat” and after he improved it was shortened to just “The Goat.”

    1. He was nicknamed “The Fainting Goat” because he got knocked out a lot in training early on. He dropped “Fainting” later and kept “The Goat”.

    1. Nick Thompson’s nickname came from “fainting goats” which have a neurological disorder and faint when scared. When Nick was starting out in MMA he got knocked out a lot and as his chin got stronger the nickname was shortened to “the goat”.

    2. The fighter is Antonio Silva and the event was BodogFight: USA vs Russia on 12/2/06.

    1. nick was named after a breed of goat called the fainting goat because he used to get knocked out all the time in the gym. but because he stopped getting knocked out and showed a “good chin” the fainting was dropped and now hes just “the goat”

    1. It wasn’t meant to be flattering. The moniker referred to a neurological disorder that afflicts some goats, causing them to suddenly collapse when they’re startled. In other words, Thompson often finished a match unconscious.

    “I had never been in a fistfight in my life,” he recalls. “I was awful. At least once a week at practice I’d get knocked out.”
