Even if you dont like a fighter you should at least try to respect the fact they are fighters and they put alot on the line, sacrificing being with their family and friends to go to crazy ass hardcore training to put it on the line in front of thousands of people. I dont think any MMA fighter deserves to get booed, unless they are REALLLLLY not fighting at all, even then a crowd chant of "FIGHT!, FIGHT!, FIGHT!" would suffice. If an MMA fighter doesnt fight come fight night, he will mentally beat himself up badly afterwards anyway, the idiot crowd does not need to do that for him. Considering all of this, I would boo Frank Shamrock, the only thing I like about him is hes a good coach, but he thinks hes the face of MMA, when in reality he hasnt fought anyone in a long time. He might have been good back in the day when everyone was still one dimensional and he was one of the few guys who had multiple tools in his toolkit, but MMA has grown much more since then and he still thinks hes the be all and end all of fighting. Consider the fact that the TOUGHEST opponent he has ever faced was Tito when Tito only had 5 fights and was still one dimensional, Tito said himself, "when I first entered the UFC I basically used my wrestling skills and skills I had learned fighting on the street". I am not a Tito fan, I like Tito and respect what he does, but I am not a loyal fan. I can objectively state that Tito will absolutely squash Shamrock when they meet. In Shamrocks last few fights he has shown he can be taken down fairly easily (Baroni took him down with a groin injury). When Tito does this, he is now an absolute master at unleashing a furious powerful GnP attack from the guard, and will elbow Shamms face into mashed potato forcing a TKO, I dont think Shamrock will tap from strikes, he is very tough, but he will either be knocked out from elbows and punches or cut and hurt so bad he wont intelligently defend himself. Mark my words. Prediction made 30/04/08. Shamrock will be exposed as the overrated overhyped mediocre mixed martial artist he truly is.
