Fedor will destroy Randy in the first round, i'd love to see it happen just to see Randy get put in his place, he has no reason to think the only fight left for him is with Fedor, I don't believe he could beat Nog, AA, and I would even give Brandon Vera a good shot at beating him. I also think a healthy Tim Sylvia would be a tough fight for Randy to win.

I just don't see Affliction being able to hold some decent shows with some top notch opponents for Fedor. Really, it would be fantastic to see a Randy vs Fedor fight (I'm not holdling my breath while the UFC has Randy in court) but after that, who can Affliction offer? Is it all going to be cross-promotion Super Fights for Fedor? Is he never going to be a title holder again? I loved his dominance over all of Pride. I guess those days are gone. Maybe he'll start fighting Dan Severn in YAMA. :P

What a waste of great talent. The Affliction thing just to me seems like an american version of M-1 Global.

Maybe the UFC will pick him up so the Randy vs Fedor bout can finally happen. That would be nice & you know if Fedor signs w/the UFC (if it would even be thought of) he'll be the highest pd. fighter they got.

Yes, unfortunately Monte and the fighters he manages are the ones who are going to take the hit and suffer the fallout from M-1 crumbling.

It was all a ploy to play hardball in negotiations with the UFC. It just backfired though. Poor Monte. I think he's the one who's gonna' get screwed in this deal. And perhaps the ripple effect will not help some of his fighters in their negotiations with the UFC. Too bad. M1 had some potential.

At the risk of sounding biased, this may illustrate some significant cultural differences in how business is done Russia vs. the US. Furthermore, M-1 may not get its "signing bonus" money back, either. I wouldn't be at all surprised to read that Fedor (or more likely his management) claims that it was non-refundable and/or fully earned for reasons including his fight with the Korean. M-1 might have to lawyer up and seek recourse in Russia. Good luck with that.
