Without a drug test the CSAC is just passing judgement on Diaz which is complete crap. How many other fighters have the opportunity to use MJ every once in a while and come up with a clean drug test when they need to? So Diaz is basically getting punished because he has a legal prescription and he can’t hide it like other people can. I say give him the same chance as everyone else. Garcia can’t be judge and jury without all of the facts. If the standard is a drug test, give Diaz a friggin drug test. The President of the United States isn’t even held to such a standard for admitting to drug use. Maybe Diaz shouldn’t have inhaled.

i agree. if he wants to smoke, he cant fight. if he wants to fight, he cant smoke.

is THC even used in treatment for ADD? Sounds strange to say the least….

Whatever I dont think he should be able to get high AND fight.

I don’t think that is what they’re trying to say. It would be the same as getting a steroid prescription and trying to say that makes it ok for you to fail a post fight drug test. What I believe they’re claiming is that Diaz would’ve abstained from marijuana far enough out from the fight that he would’ve have tested negative. At least that’s how I perceive the whole situation.

Dan- you say Diaz would of passed his drug test. What do you base that on? He obviously smokes, he failed a past test AND is saying he has a legal prescription to smoke weed so therefore he should be allowed to fail his test. To me that says I smoke weed and I should be able to get away with it. Should CSAC let him fight, then fail a test and then punish him for doing something they were aware of?????? or even better lets say CSAC knows someone is on roids but bc they dont test until after the fight, then they suspend him. I would assume the suspended fighter has a better chance at appeal if CSAC knew he was dirty the whole time.

Your comments are irrelevant, they didn’t even let him do a drug test. He would have passed it. The only wrong thing he did was to tell them the truth in the forms where he stated he had used marijuana before (which shouldn’t surprise anyone considering he failed a previous test). Retarded decision on the ac’s part.

its not that hard to quit smoking (weed) or drinking for a 8 or so weeks to make sure your clean, didnt he learn with the fall out after the Gomi fight that the commisions dont like thc in your system… hell if your soo adimant about blazing atleast take a bottle of cranberry pills and 4 1\2 gallons of water 5 days before your fight and you will piss clean, damn kid get educated on your habit….. fight for 15 minutes or soo make thousands of dollars win or lose put down the bong for a couple days and compete it is not that difficult of a concept or is he too high to realize how simple of an idea that is…. atleast smoke and listen to wu~tang they will explain it too u

cash rules everything around you….

if u have a drug test comming up put down the bong kid, go and get cleasning agents, pills syrups something shit….

IMO it doesnt matter if he has a med. marijuana card. For ex: baseball players try to use similar excuses to use speed type products and MLB is steadfast against it. I believe they say if you want to play MLB then you cant take certain medications. It is not Nick Diaz right to fight in MMA, if he wants to fight in Cali. get off the weed. (I smoke like a chimney so this is not an anti pot rant)

Sucks how this card just went to complete shit without Shields and Diaz. Not sure if Shamrock vs. Lee is enough to make me remember Saturday that there are some fights on tv.
