Dudes - you need to paticipate in our live chat to be eligible to win.

See we’re using the prize as an incentive to get more people to check out our chat. Get how that works? ;)

What a fight! Cung le is a bad ass mofo!

  19. ctownhood on March 29th, 2008 10:09 pm

Wow….great fight! Le fought great, but Shamrock eliminated the ground game from this fight…which may have been his downfall

  20. Mikey Gilz on March 29th, 2008 10:43 pm

Le took all 3 of those rounds hands down. Shamrock was sloppy and showboating. I’m glad Le won.

  21. glock on March 29th, 2008 10:48 pm

WOW. Finally. A fight with 2 great guys and a definitive win. I love Cung Lee & have watched him for a long time and am ecstatic that his skills translate so well into MMA.I basically knew nothing about Shamrock till this fight . I think he’s a great guy and a real draw in his own right, and a real class act. BUT- Cung Lee WOW! He WAS the better man tonight. I thought he looked nervous pre-fight but WTF do I know?? He was in his zone and no one was taking him out of it. “It don’t git much better ‘an this ” in my opinion….All in all a great counterpart to UFC. A clash of 2 class acts.Take out your checkbook DANA….

  22. glock on March 29th, 2008 10:52 pm

OOPS, too many Margaritas 2nite …. make that Cung LE….. DUH….

  23. slimm on March 30th, 2008 12:10 am

Frank has overlooked Le for along time and he got kicked in the head real hard for it congrats Cung Le, cheers

  24. Rich S. on March 30th, 2008 12:44 am

“I basically knew nothing about Shamrock till this fight”

are you a fan of MMA????

  25. xx2000xx on March 30th, 2008 2:09 am

“I love Cung Lee & have watched him for a long time and am ecstatic that his skills translate so well into MMA.”

Frank knew he could take him down, and make it his fight, but he’s a showmanship fighter and let it stand up.

Cung Lee is good, but not great in standup, and is unproven within the ground game.

Trust me, he’d get killed in the 205 UFC class, and there is no debate about that.

  26. Beef on March 30th, 2008 3:28 am

    #25 Frank Shamrock & Cung Le (only 1 “e”) both fight @ 185

I thought that Shamrock was a fool to not take Le down. He let go of numerous opportunities to do so. Yes, I understand what he was trying to accomplish “outside” the cage but doing so translates to taking Cung Le too lightly.

Overall, it was a surprisingly one-sided fight. Not absolutely one-sided, mind you. Shamrock seemed much more interested in being a personality than being a fighter tonight. He (and his forearm) obviously paid the price.

  27. xx2000xx on March 30th, 2008 3:57 am

    185 I meant, i’m sorry of course. I even watched the weigh-ins too :-)

  28. ranger1071 on March 30th, 2008 9:46 am

    Jolly/Matt/Mike

Thanks again for doing a great job calling the fight for those of us who couldn’t watch it. Sorry I up and disappeared, my cable company decided to do some work on the wireless nodes starting at 10pm. Not only didn’t tell anybody, they started early.

As always the 5oz community was great, thanks again!
