This is a good card, but the IFL still has wacky things like Brad Blackburn fighting for "Midwest Combat." As hard as they try the team thing just doesn't work very well. Why not just call the team IFL-Stars or something ? Are we supposed to believe that Vladdy (who trains in LA), Bart (Illinois) and Blackburn (Washington) train together ?

It certainly is a solid card. I'm very interested to see Jim Miller.

Jamal Patterson did a call in to the Max Kellerman show on 1050ESPN in NYC. He told of how he trains boxing at the legendary Gleason's in Brooklyn and BJJ/Grappling at Renzo Gracie's. Very down to earth guy. I really thought Matyushenko gassed last August against Tim Boetsch. But at the same time, this is a HUGE step up in competition for Jamal. We shall see.

Sam, I've been trying to find something out with no luck. Are the title fights tonight 5 rounds of 4 minutes or their standard 3 rounds? I seem to remember seeing each during the GP finals.

6 hours to the first fight. Can't wait.

I love what the IFL has done with their cards. The first show of the season was awesome, and I expect this one to be even better.

I really hope it isn't to late for the IFL, their cards are better than all I have seen this year except for the UFC. Considering how many promotions are out there right now, i would say that is pretty good, especially for free and in HD.

I don't know what it would take business-wise, but I think it would be a great move if they could get a Red Devil team in the mix. I would never expect Fedor to fight, but I certainly do think it would draw a lot of interest to their org.
