Preview of tonight’s ShoXC featuring Po’ai Suganuma vs. Jared Hamman

April 5, 2008 by Sam Caplan

shoxc_120×120.jpgTonight’s ShoXC (11:30 p.m. ET on SHOWTIME) is the third live MMA show to air on cable this week in four days. That’s a lot of MMA in just one week but this is a good enough card to warrant your attention. I wasn’t overly impressed with lineup for the March 21 ShoXC card but on paper, tonight’s show has a lot more to offer.

Here’s a quick preview of what you can look forward to.

* Po’ai Suganuma (8-1) vs. Jared Hamman (10-0)

This fight will feature two light heavyweight prospects with good records trying to move up the ladder. Both are capable of competing on EliteXC shows but in order to make the move, they need to win here.

Suganuma, who trains with B.J. Penn, has just one loss on his record while Hamman is undefeated. Hamman, a former college football player, is an outstanding athlete and was impressive during his ShoXC debut this past October when he submitted a then-undefeated Aaron Rosa in round 2.
