alright its time to talk fighting, even if tim gave the best performance of his life, fedor will still have his way with him. tim will get a couple of shots in and might even cut him, but since it wont be a biased ufc promotion it will not get stopped. its gonna go to the ground eventually and thats where tim will find out that he has never faced anything as close to a death machine as fedor is on the ground. randy nog and aa are not even in the same league and if tim thinks randys gnp is great then he will have to make up a word to describe the technique fedor is going to throw at him.

like i’ve said before NOG should have focused more on various ways of getting sylvia to the mat sooner.

tim has huge reach and KO power.

this can be neutralized. fedor has not only hand speed but foot work and crazy weird sambo sprawl. tim won’t know what to expect cause even if fedor has a basic gameplan, it’s never so 1 dimensional that anyone can figure it out. against hunt it was pretty clear though – but hunt can not be knocked out ever by any living creature and his punches are insane. but in tim’s case fedor may do some banging – just not at a boxing distance. MMA boxing is less tidy. couture is not a boxer but he is a very effective MMA boxer. he kept sylvia confused with a mixed arsenal. fedor will be able to hit sylvia. and while sylvias takedown defense an be very good it’s only good in a face to face confrontation. fedor will probably take it to the mat easily. i dont think he’ll get a sub quite as easily as nog but will neutralize tim’s reach on the ground and knee the body punch the head wrench the joint and choke ye ‘ol dino neck. tim needs to time a wicked punch. and then finish.

i was impressed how well tim kept NOG boxing.

I was surprised how long it took nog to get it to the ground.
not surprised that it took 10 secs for a battered nog to make a monkey out of tim aftrr it went to the mat though.

Wait, what’s this I hear? Fedor is set to fight an Arcturan Octopus Man on the Crab Nebula for a reported 19 centiuilians (or roughly eighty million goats by current conversion standards). No wait, scrap that, he just got a better deal to fight a genetic clone of Big John Stud in a tanker 14 kilometers below sea level. Hold on, there’s been a change, he’s just this moment inked a deal to fight the USC junior varsity wrestling squad in a revolving octagon in Newark, NJ.

Can’t blame him for trying to cash in on his “best heavyweight” in the world status. Tim can beat him but he won’t. Randy will get one last chance to put the oil in his joints and go for broke. But let’s face it, he’s a big underdog in that fight, despite what anyone says about Fedor being overrated. Randy will not be able to manhandle him like he has others. It’s gonna be a very tough day at the office. And Fedor has the submissions that Randy doesn’t. War of attrition is his only real avenue of victory. But that fight will happen. The $$ are there, it will go down. On a flaming barge off the coast of New Zealand for seats 10 grand a pop! Where do I sign?

Everyone has their bad match up, will this be Fedors?.
Wouldn’t be surprised if Tim pulls it off but it wouldn’t mean he ‘s the better fighter. It would also take the gloss off Randy vs Fedor.

Which tall guy will last longer against Fedor?
Fedor will take some jabs coming in, but at best it’s a replay of Couture v. Sylvia – but I think shorter based on Fedor’s sub’s.

Does this qualify for most interesting fight of the year so far, and does it merit based on competitiveness, or just the idea that “the masses” will have a shot at seeing Fedor on something less grainy than a YouTube or gif?

I’ll bet that Monte Cox has no comment. He had a deal with Fedor that fell through after a big time press conference. He has no interest in jumping the gun a second time. Even with a contract signed by Fedor he shouldn’t comment.

Love the Cage vs. Ring arguments for this fight.

While that might have some, (although I think little) merit in the Couture fight, they could stage this in some backwoods Alabama Mud Hut with a ring composed of Redneck Pig-farmers with Pitch forks, and Fedor could still sub Tim 15 times over in the first minute.
