Report: Ben Saunders vs. Jared Rollins at UFC 86

April 9, 2008 by Adam Morgan

MMA Junkie is reporting that a bout between Ben Saunders and Jared Rollins has been signed off on by at least one of the fighters for UFC 86 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Saunders is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Dan Barrera at the TUF 6 Finale where the two met in a rematch of their controversial fight on the show. Rollins, on the other hand, is coming off of a TKO loss to Jon Koppenhaver at the TUF 6 Finale.

This is a solid addition to the undercard of a pay per view which features TUF 7 coaches Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Forrest Griffin squaring off for the UFC light heavyweight crown.

I’m still waiting on a hefty co-main event for this show. I’ll be pretty let down if it turns out to be Mir McCully or Koscheck Lytle.

    i think it’s ridiculous that they’re givin lytle kos…
does anyone agree w/ me in that lytle has had the hardest UFC career to date, for a non-title holder..
i mean, fighting the likes of lawler, karo, alves, hughes, serra, etc..
he’s never gotten a break.. and as soon as he gets a semi-easy fight [such as his last one] and wins, he’s sent straight back to the dogs in a fight w/ a title contender..

    COME ON!!

i know Lytle’s good.. but he’s unlucky.. and i know he could beat Kos.. but, i just think he gets the hardest fights..

I REALLY DO THINK that Lytle will catch Kos in boxing.. and on the ground.. but.. idk..

oh, and it ought to be a good fight.. but i’m rootin’ for saunders..

J-ROC is a way stronger fighter with world class grappling ability, saunders is a very good fighter, but without a doubt J-ROC will win this fight… Lytle has had a tough scehdule of fights no doubt…… “But back to Jared “J-ROC” Rollins was dominating the fight against war machine, he gassed out… Lesson learned. He is in the top 10 170’s forsure!

I actually spoke to Ben while I was out Saturday night, and Ben said, the fight has been moved to UFC 87.
