True grit showed with some of these guys. You could tell who were ready for the challenge of an immediate fight in 48 hours and who were scared. I respect the guys who had the good attitude and wanted to beat down their opponent. The others were wimps who wanted to be on a reality show.

Hall seemed to gas out in his fight. No disrespect to Brown, but before he gassed Hall looked as if he better skills. I guess everybody has to show up in shape and ready to fight in future seasons, which makes sense for several reasons.

I hope there's a second shot for some of the guys that lost fights; some of the matchups were very good . . . and it seems (though editing can cheapen the experience) that there were some weak and boring matchups, particularly in the first week.
There certainly is a great pool to draw from should injury or idiocy eliminate fighters along the way.
Much better crop of competition and experience than last season.
Riddle has a finisher's instincts - one of the coaches said that, and while he might need to watch his yapper, his ungainly, wild style worked last night.

Good show, the fights were entertaining and some of the guys showed some good skils. The highlights for the rest of the season seem to take us back to the normal antics of the show though, that have become tiring. Hopefully it's less of that then the trailer actually showed. The preview on ufc.com says that someone is getting kicked off the show next week already.

that matt brown guy looked good! fast hands, good transitions. i'm excited to see his other fights.

maybe it was just a case of selective editing, but i thought that young kid, riddle, celebrating, and telling herb dean "that's my first knockout!" while dude is on the ground moaning, was a little un-called for. vicious knockout regardless. i've never seen simmler fight before, but his style was odd. real slow. he almost looked half asleep, and i figured when it got to the ground, he would take over. hope he bounces back from that crazy ko.

Dana and the coaches should have let the Riggs kid stay in the house or at least sent him somewhere to get training, that kid had mad heart.

Overall, I'm not sure the right people made it into the house, I mean, better than average but some of the fighters that made it in were bad and just had worse opponents. Meanwhile, some of the best guys who got matched up against eachother, well one of them is going home, even though they could have potentially beat 30% of the "winners".

Should be a fun season, I've already got a few favorites picked out. Clip of Rampage getting net gunned by the way... hilarious.

Its too bad Aaron Meisner's injury got minimalized. He deserves more face time and another shot.
